Millie
We received a frantic message on November 4th to help 10 month old Millie. The families daughter brought Millie home after her friend purchased her as a gift for her parents. The daughter was going to surprise her parents, and well, surprise, mom and dad wanted nothing to do with a youngster and wanted her out NOW! So this nice family took her in and contacted our rescue.
Millie’s skin was a mess, she had fleas and was just so scared! She was clingy to the mom in the home for the few hours she was there and was naturally scared and unsure what was happening to her.
Once we were brought in to help, Millie was picked up and is now in home who was qualified and waiting for a young golden to adopt. We hope Millie will stay in this home, but if she becomes available, we’ll let you know here first.
Millie is good with other dogs, is trained and heels at all times. She does need work on learning not to jump up.
If you too would like to get qualified to adopt a golden retriever, the first step is to read “How to Adopt” and follow the directions from there.
