Pooh Bear is a 13-week-old (10/24) Golden Retriever who came into GRRR on October 3, 2026. He is an owner surrender that was born with a birth defect. The birth defect is where a blood vessel stays in the wrong place and forms a tight ring around the esophagus. The good news is that there is a surgery that can correct this called PRAA, Persistent Right Aortic Arch, surgery. Pooh Bear is now in an amazing foster home and recently had surgery to attempt to correct this.

Sweet little Pooh Bear has had his PRAA surgery for Mega-Esophagus. He is doing good now, and is back home with his foster family. They are taking great care of him. Pooh’s surgery came out to just over $4,700 in total. While we are happy to do it, this is a significant financial expense for our rescue. Each and every dollar donated to us is greatly appreciated and helps us change the lives of rescued dogs. We couldn’t do this life-saving work without all of you out there. Please consider helping us cover all his medical expenses. We will list your name here on our website as his sponsor.
