Ivy is a super sweet and very, very energetic golden retriever girl. Shortly after her owner got Ivy, she became pregnant and quickly realized it is hard to give Ivy the love and attention needed with having a baby. After no relatives or friends stepped up to take Ivy, her mom did the smart thing and contacted our rescue in order to place her immediately into a home who would like to adopt. We can this a foster to adopt home. 

Ivy was born August 5, 2023 and is a light colored Golden Retriever. Ivy could play for hours on end. She is button trained as well as knows her basic commands. She adores food puzzles and loves all people. She is great around other dogs and likes to wear the others out. We mentioned command buttons. Ivy has buttons for some commands like food, water, outside and play. So if she wants one of these items, she presses her buttons. The family also taught Ivy how to sit, down, off, spin, shake and crate. The family was working on stay/wait, but at time of surrender, could only hold this for a short time. 

Ivy does need leash training and learning not to pull on the lead.

Ivy is housebroken and crate trained. She has never been around children, but she does like to greet people. She might be too much for youngsters until older.

Ivy loves to cuddle and could kiss you for hours. She is just super, super sweet and loving.

Ivy came into our program and went immediately into an approved home waiting to adopt. We do now consider her pending adoption. If this changes, we’ll let you know here first.
