Miss Maple arrived into the GRRR rescue on Labor Day after a lifetime of having golden retriever puppies. Maple is thought to be around 6 years old. Her pictures here focus in on one tired gal. She is now starting the journey of rest and learning how to live in a real home as a loved dog.

Maple is good with other dogs and walks well on a leash with encouragement that everything is ok wherever she is going. Maple will need another dog in her home to help with her transition into her new life.

Maple went in to be spayed on October 13th and soon after became ill. Unfortunately she got extremely ill the weekend of October 18th and had emergency surgery. She had a belly full of fur and pus which had to be removed. At this time, we are not sure how she ended up with an infection from her spay.

Maple is now back home and doing well and eating. She came home with 4 different medications and an incision that needs iced 4 times a day. She is also eating a special food diet of 4 small meals a day. Unfortunately this left us with an emergency bill that cost $6,165.00. Please help us by making a donation towards her medical expenses.
