Molly is a 6 year old (October 13, 2019),  Golden Retriever who we took back into our rescue.  She was found to have a large mass in her mouth that came back as melanoma.

Molly had this mass removed on October 22nd.
Unfortunately on Halloween 2025 , Molly had another–this time an emergency surgery where her lymph node was removed. This area filled up with fluid and kept filling up until her breathing was effected. She had a temperature of 106 upon arrival and had a drain put in while there.

After she felt better, Molly saw the oncologist November 12th and since had four rounds of chemo and was deemed in remission and ready for adoption. 

She’ll need follow up visits to the oncologist every 3 months for a year, then every 6 for the second year. At her appointments, she’ll have testing and a  chest x-ray completed. Every 6 months, she’ll need a booster vaccine for three treatments. Our adoption team will go over this future care with you. 

We are currently raising funds to cover her medical bills in 2025 of  $14,837.06. We are estimating an additional $6,980.00 which needs raised for her follow up care in 2026, which is not yet priced in the projected overall total.
