Pilot
Pilot is a 2 year old golden retriever who arrived November 20th from Cairo Egypt, saved from the streets by Stray Dog Rescue, Inc., who put a lot of money of their own into saving Pilot. He was dumped by his family and was left to fend for himself. He was rescued after either being beat or hit by a car. We’ll never know.
Pilot’s bone was protruding from his leg and he had multiple surgeries, resulting in his leg being amputated. He gets along fine being a little sweet tripod pup without his leg. You would never know he had just three legs.
Pilot is super sweet, mellow and will make someone looking for a smaller easy to handle dog a great companion.
Pilot is a great little boy that loves to cuddle on the couch and loves to play out in the yard. He is great with other dogs but because of his life of living on the streets in Egypt and needing to scavenge for food with all the other homeless dogs his initial reaction is a growl when he meets the other dog. It shouldn’t be corrected as dogs need to be able to communicate with each other. That’s Pilot just saying to the other dog I don’t know you so please keep your distance until I figure out you and that you’re not here to hurt me. Within a short period of time Pilot figures out the other dog isn’t going to hurt him and they are fine together. If you are interested in adopting Pilot, the first step is to read “How to Adopt“
